About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a group of technical personnel as an in-house expert in mechanical engineering.
Mentor and develop the existing engineering team.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Familiar with all pertinent codes and standards such as ASME Section 1, NFPA etc.
Advise engineering solutions and recommendations to project managers and designers.
Review/check drawings and calculations.
Coordinate information and drawing preparation with 3rd party design companies.
Client visits to present, inspect, or collect information, should be willing to travel to jobsites in North America.
Maintain and update current engineering standards as required
Review client technical specifications.
Review vendor quotes versus project requirements.
Proposal preparation and cost estimates.
Review vendor requests for material substitutions and approve as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, advanced degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to utilize engineering principals in equipment design.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, strong technical writing, and presentation abilities.
