About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join our dynamic team in Western Canada based out of Vancouver/Saskatoon/Calgary or Edmonton.
  • Support the ongoing development of our Mining and Minerals Core business sectors.
  • Foster the continued growth of our emerging Base and Precious Metals, Battery and Rare Earth Elements, and Potash and Uranium businesses.
  • Identification, validation and leadership of key prospects and opportunities.
  • Facilitate client meetings and presentations to support our client needs and support business objectives.
  • Responsible for full ownership of Key Client accounts including account planning, developing zippering plans, and managing Client relationships.
  • Create, review, manage and maintain integrity of all opportunity records in Wood’s CRM system.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor level degree in a technical or related field
  • 15 to 20 years’ experience in the Project Execution and Business Development Field
  • Experience in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry pertaining to the Mining and Minerals.
  • Experience with key strategic Client relationships within major Clients organizations in the North American Mining industry
  • Broad knowledge of mining and minerals industry technologies, work processes, environments and local customs, practices and norms from the EPC(M) services perspective.
  • Good understanding of the economic and commercial drivers in the EPC(M) business
  • International operations experience is an asset
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in use of Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools and systems
  • Demonstrate a proactive and outcome-driven attitude, with excellent communication, writing, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging portfolio of Clients in various market sectors
  • Critical thinker with problem solving abilities
  • Decisive, with ability to make decisions and follow through, ensuring learnings are captured
