Provide Technical Safety support to multidisciplinary engineers and designers to ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental regulatory requirements whilst observing risk management processes.
Produce Technical Safety engineering deliverables required for project execution.
Manage the technical safety resources assuring workscopes are adequately provisioned.
Track and manage project progress and work achieved.
Advise Head of Discipline of any resource concerns.
Participate in and manage formal process safety assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and SIL target setting studies, including generating study reports.
Advise of impacts to site documentation.
PEER checking and approval of deliverables by other team members.
Input to project design assurance reviews.
Undertake hazard consequence analysis using software to assess hazard ranges.
Hazardous area classification following industry codes and guidance.
Develop process safety risk assessments.
Develop and implement functional safety management plans.
Produce and review specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems.
Provide technical support to projects and sites as required.
Support to projects on regulatory requirements.
Attend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineer as required.
Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures.
Requirements
Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Safety and Reliability/Loss Prevention
