About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller
- The role ensures full compliance with external financial reporting requirements and upholds strong financial governance across the region
- It provides focused stewardship of the regional balance sheet, including working capital, cash and intercompany activity
- Acting as the finance lead for the APAC region, the role is accountable for developing high-performing local finance teams and for delivering accurate external, monthly and quarterly reporting across all regional entities
- The position also plays a critical role in financial forecasting and budgeting that informs Business Unit and Business Group performance
- The role maintains accountability for regional internal controls and broader governance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualified
- Further professional finance body related qualification
- Senior finance leadership experience within a complex, business‑focused environment
- Demonstrated leadership in safety and wellbeing
- Proven experience leading teams across multiple geographies
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to shape outcomes
- Sound knowledge of finance practices, relevant legislative frameworks and how the business creates value
- Evidence of strong technical competence and current knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Demonstrated capability in corporate governance and effective decision making
- Awareness of external factors and their influence on regional strategy and performance
- Track record of delivering challenging performance targets, annual budgets and long‑term forecasts
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to develop and implement innovative, long‑term solutions
- Effectively connect and establish effective, cross-cultural working relationships with all levels of the organisation
