About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller
The role ensures full compliance with external financial reporting requirements and upholds strong financial governance across the region
It provides focused stewardship of the regional balance sheet, including working capital, cash and intercompany activity
Acting as the finance lead for the APAC region, the role is accountable for developing high-performing local finance teams and for delivering accurate external, monthly and quarterly reporting across all regional entities
The position also plays a critical role in financial forecasting and budgeting that informs Business Unit and Business Group performance
The role maintains accountability for regional internal controls and broader governance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree qualified
Further professional finance body related qualification
Senior finance leadership experience within a complex, business‑focused environment
Demonstrated leadership in safety and wellbeing
Proven experience leading teams across multiple geographies
Strong influencing skills and the ability to shape outcomes
Sound knowledge of finance practices, relevant legislative frameworks and how the business creates value
Evidence of strong technical competence and current knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Demonstrated capability in corporate governance and effective decision making
Awareness of external factors and their influence on regional strategy and performance
Track record of delivering challenging performance targets, annual budgets and long‑term forecasts
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Ability to develop and implement innovative, long‑term solutions
Effectively connect and establish effective, cross-cultural working relationships with all levels of the organisation
