About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting to the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Department Manager.
- Provide design and technical support for the layout, design and specification of electrical systems for industrial plants and related infrastructure support for a wide variety of projects.
- Coordinate with area leads, department managers, clients and other engineering disciplines to ensure the compatibility of design.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program, or of a related Design / Drafting (CAD) program with relevant experience in electrical design.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in electrical design for mining, metallurgical or heavy industrial projects from prefeasibility to detailed engineering
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and how to apply it in designs.
- Proven expertise using AVEVA E3D.
- Everyday use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
