About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Based in our Glasgow office alongside the existing Wood Engineering Team to ensure delivery excellence across assigned projects / portfolios
  • Providing project certainty and confidence to our clients
  • Ensuring robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk
  • Managing and leading a large multi - discipline Engineering Team
  • Overall ownership of the engineering schedule and progress of each engineering discipline
  • Ensuring that Wood’s Quality Management Systems support deliverables preparation and method of execution
  • Developing and managing the engineering input to the project schedule and driving the Engineering Team to comply with the requirements, meet milestones and Key Performance Indicators

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline
  • Prior background in technical function, and in project engineering predominately across range of projects
  • Engineering Management experience, with some site experience
  • Have extensive experience in an appropriate industry (ideally in Pharmaceutical, EC&I Infrastructure, Power Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Chemicals)
  • Have a proven track record in Engineering Management and leading multi - discipline engineering teams
  • Be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work
  • Have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
