About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Based in our Glasgow office alongside the existing Wood Engineering Team to ensure delivery excellence across assigned projects / portfolios
- Providing project certainty and confidence to our clients
- Ensuring robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk
- Managing and leading a large multi - discipline Engineering Team
- Overall ownership of the engineering schedule and progress of each engineering discipline
- Ensuring that Wood’s Quality Management Systems support deliverables preparation and method of execution
- Developing and managing the engineering input to the project schedule and driving the Engineering Team to comply with the requirements, meet milestones and Key Performance Indicators
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline
- Prior background in technical function, and in project engineering predominately across range of projects
- Engineering Management experience, with some site experience
- Have extensive experience in an appropriate industry (ideally in Pharmaceutical, EC&I Infrastructure, Power Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Chemicals)
- Have a proven track record in Engineering Management and leading multi - discipline engineering teams
- Be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work
- Have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
