About the role

  • Ensure all accounting entries are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide timely reporting of financial data internally and externally.
  • Financial reporting includes forecasts, budgets, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Manage a small team as required.
  • Overhead reporting during month-end close in Oracle.
  • Responsible for the preparation of overhead budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure allocations are posted correctly per business and legal entity.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Reconcile unbilled, unearned, and accruals balances.
  • Preparation of the entity’s tax compliance.
  • Assist in tax compliance with Income Tax Return preparation.
  • Support Group Tax Manager with reporting and compliance tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll).
  • Execute various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Further education through College or University with a recognized accounting qualification
  • Preferably working towards CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent
  • 3-4 years project accounting experience
  • Proficient user of Excel
  • People supervision and management skills
  • Good commercial knowledge
  • Good systems experience (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion)
  • Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships
  • Shows willingness to make improvements and shares best practice
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to discuss issues clearly and concisely at all levels within the organization
