Lead and execute site safety assessments to support construction, installation, and engineering activities
Develop and maintain safety control points, benchmarks, and reference systems for accurate layout and alignment of pipelines, structures, and equipment
Ensure full compliance with project safety specifications, industry regulations, and client requirements
Supervise and guide safety engineering teams, assigning responsibilities and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with engineering, construction, QA/QC teams to resolve safety-related discrepancies
Manage safety documentation and data including risk assessments, safety plans, and compliance records
Maintain and calibrate safety monitoring instruments and tools
Implement and enforce safety protocols during field activities and proactively mitigate risks
Monitor construction progress from a safety perspective and conduct regular site inspections
Provide expert input during audits and inspections and represent safety discipline in client and contractor meetings
Mentor junior safety engineers and promote continuous improvement
Execute technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs and carry out discipline and inter-discipline checks and reviews
Implement, practice and monitor QMS in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2
Contribute to contracting strategies, remain engaged through construction commissioning and start-up, and ensure technical integrity and constructability of designs
Requirements
Minimum 12 years atleast 8 years in oil & gas and 4 years in FEED/Engineering experience.
Bachelor in Engineering degree or equivalent
Experience in the middle east is preferred
Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution
Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities
Assuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted
