About the role

  • Assist with preparing technical proposals for Aftermarket Boiler business.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, strategy, business development, capture personnel, and operations staff
  • Plan and deliver responsive, well-defined, and effective proposals to clients and prospective customers worldwide.
  • Support strategic planning projects and major proposals, make bid and/or no bid recommendations, and participate in proposal preparation and reviews.
  • Manage the proposals team for the respective group and ensure compliance with Corporate and Business Unit-specific proposal procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with utility/industrial boilers, HRSGs
  • Strong technical and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and respond to time-sensitive issues
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate effectively and engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be a US citizen, or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
  • Must be proficient in reading boiler and equipment drawings.
  • Proficient with documentation and report/proposal writing.
  • Some domestic and international travel visiting clients and vendors is required.
  • Physical ability to enter boiler and auxiliary equipment through existing access doors and openings.
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Technical knowledge of boilers, pulverizers, combustion equipment, environmental equipment, HRSGs etc.
  • Flexibility in schedule, initiative, willingness to learn, maintain effective and professional interaction with all levels.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred.
