About the role
- Overall responsibility for overseeing the development of budgets, schedules and reports
- Management and coordination of project staff and sub-contractors to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient and timely completion of projects
- Develop and maintain communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal personnel
- Oversee the development of project budgets, schedules and reports
- Monitor engineering, procurement and/or construction progress
- Chair project meetings and ensure that schedules are progressing
- Review cost control forecasts (engineering costs as well as capital costs)
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum of 8 years engineering or operations experience focusing on heavy industrial projects including at least 2 years in a project management role
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work with people at all levels
- Effective organizational skills and be able to multi-task
- Strong track record of successful project completion
- A willingness to travel for varying durations and at times to remote locations
- Authorization to lawfully work in the United States without sponsorship from Wood now or in the future is required
- Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is an asset
