About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Wood Mackenzie's power market advisory team in North America
  • Deliver daily fundamental and price forecasts across all seven ISOs
  • Drive transformation across this team, raising the bar on output
  • Build greater trust and expertise among customer decision makers
  • Own the quality of analyst output across the American ISOs
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least seven years of experience in North American power market analysis, forecasting, or trading
  • Expertise across multiple ISOs, including direct exposure to desk environments where analysts informed live market decisions
  • A thorough understanding of day-ahead, real-time, and congestion dynamics
  • About four years of experience leading a team of three or more analysts or researchers
  • Experience collaborating directly with customers, including traders, asset owners, and retailers, as a trusted advisory voice
  • Familiarity with technology and tooling decisions, including forecasting methodologies and modeling platforms
  • Ability to engage in detail with product and engineering teams on automation priorities
