About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Wood Mackenzie's power market advisory team in North America
- Deliver daily fundamental and price forecasts across all seven ISOs
- Drive transformation across this team, raising the bar on output
- Build greater trust and expertise among customer decision makers
- Own the quality of analyst output across the American ISOs
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer value
- Shape the team to deliver better customer outcomes
- Recruit, develop, and retain senior market analysts across North America
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least seven years of experience in North American power market analysis, forecasting, or trading
- Expertise across multiple ISOs, including direct exposure to desk environments where analysts informed live market decisions
- A thorough understanding of day-ahead, real-time, and congestion dynamics
- About four years of experience leading a team of three or more analysts or researchers
- Experience collaborating directly with customers, including traders, asset owners, and retailers, as a trusted advisory voice
- Familiarity with technology and tooling decisions, including forecasting methodologies and modeling platforms
- Ability to engage in detail with product and engineering teams on automation priorities
