Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Wood Mackenzie's power market advisory team in North America
Deliver daily fundamental and price forecasts across all seven ISOs
Drive transformation across the team, raising the bar on output
Build greater trust and expertise among customer decision makers
Own the quality of analyst output across the seven American ISOs
Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer needs
Foster a personalized service culture where analysts know their accounts well
Define the automation agenda for the MI team, prioritizing workflows
Recruit, develop, and retain senior market analysts across North America
Maintain a sharp view on customer needs, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least seven years of experience in North American power market analysis, forecasting, or trading
Expertise across multiple ISOs, including direct exposure to desk environments
A thorough understanding of day-ahead, real-time, and congestion dynamics
About four years of experience leading a team of three or more analysts or researchers
Experience collaborating directly with customers, including traders, asset owners, and retailers
Familiarity with technology and tooling decisions, including forecasting methodologies and modeling platforms
The ability to engage in detail with product and engineering teams on automation priorities
Experience building or rebuilding analyst teams in fast-paced environments
