About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the delivery plan for each engagement across all workstreams, tracking milestones, UAT cycles, and acceptance against each contracted statement of work
Run the client cadence on every project, including weekly status meetings, steering meetings, escalations, and working sessions with agency program staff, legal, and state IT
Maintain dependency registers and track client and company deliverables, dates, and documentation supporting excusable-delay and change-order claims
Manage scope, capability traceability, acceptance criteria negotiation, change requests, and intake of new work
Produce deliverables for client review and keep Wonderschool leadership ahead of portfolio risks
Work with engineering leads on integration timelines with state systems, including ERP platforms, state data hubs, and SSO
Build a repeatable program playbook as states and enterprise clients are added

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of program or project management on complex software delivery
Government or regulated-industry client experience strongly preferred
Experience managing contractual milestones, UAT-based acceptance, and formal change control
Strong written communication skills for status reports, meeting summaries, and acceptance criteria
Ability to run plans dependent on teams the candidate does not manage
Experience with child care programs in state government strongly preferred
State human services or eligibility systems experience, or familiarity with state procurement, is a plus
