About the role
- Manage and grow relationships with electrical rebuilders and non-automotive accounts across North America.
- Train, develop and mentor account managers.
- Achieve sales targets by developing strategic account plans and executing customer-focused initiatives.
- Understand the unique needs of the rebuilder and non-automotive industry, including product applications, market trends and remanufacturing process where applicable.
- Promote WAI’s rotating electrical products (starters, alternators, components) and related offerings.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within diverse market segments such as; Rebuilder, Marine, Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment and Agriculture.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to communicate customer needs and influence product development.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence.
- Represent WAI at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, programs, and contracts.
- Work cross-functionally with customer service, logistics, and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of sales experience in the automotive or non-automotive market, preferably with exposure to rotating electrical products.
- Direct experience or deep familiarity with rotating electrical strongly preferred.
- Proven success in managing B2B accounts and developing new business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
- Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
