About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The IT Specialist manages and supports the organization's technology infrastructure, focusing on user support, cloud systems administration, and data security.
  • Key components of this role include hardware and software troubleshooting, cloud platform management, and communication.
  • The IT Specialists ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of daily technology systems to advance the organization's mission.
  • Will also support management and organization with the implementation of IT related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support via phone, email and in-person for Windows computers, mobile devices, and peripherals (Multifunction Copiers, printers, hotspots, etc..)
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing for Microsoft 365.
  • Oversee basic network connectivity, firewalls, endpoint protection, and security patching while assisting with staff onboarding and offboarding.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or the equivalent in education and experience is required.
  • Minimum Microsoft Certified Professional required, additional Certifications a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of network administration or related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows administration, cloud collaboration suites, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical guidance for staff (verbally and in written)
  • Prior project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow through on assigned projects and strong organizational skills are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, personal vehicle is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing, is required.
  • Satisfactory child abuse, criminal and FBI clearances, required pre-hire and on-going.
