About the role
- Lead and manage the inside sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing insights for improvement
- Ensure seamless operation of sales processes and efficient use of CRM tools
- Address escalated customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Recruit, interview, select and onboard new sales reps to the team and continually develop interviewing skills
- Train and develop team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge
- Provide regular, ongoing, one-on-one coaching with sales reps to continually enhance their sales success and development
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop lead generation initiatives
- Represent Sales in various cross functional forums including business reviews, continuous improvement projects, strategy development, etc.
- Implement and monitor adherence to sales policies and procedures
- Compile and present sales reports to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years’ of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3+ years of sales management supervisory experience or completion of Wolters Kluwer Future Leaders Training Program and/or other applicable relevant leadership experience
- 5 or more years of successful strategic/solutions sales experience or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach individuals to attain sales results
- Demonstrated ability to provide ongoing training and development to a sales team
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate a sales team
- Skill in designing and implementing effective sales strategies
- Ability to analyze sales data for decision-making
- Proficient use of CRM systems to manage sales activities and customer information
- Maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers
