About the role
- Manage and mentor a team of user researchers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement across different time zones and regions.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, aligning their work with the company’s strategic priorities.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new research talent, ensuring diversity and a range of expertise in the team.
- Collaborating with Leaders in Product Management, UX Design, and Engineering, define the long-term vision and strategy for user experience research for the segment, aligning it with business objectives and goals.
- Partner with Divisional Leaders to drive research and product strategy from a user-driven perspective.
- Ensure that research resources are assigned to the highest priority projects.
- Stay at the forefront of AI technology research methodologies, integrating new tools and approaches into the research process.
- Lead efforts to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, translating complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that inform product strategy.
- Disseminate research findings and trends to relevant stakeholders, including product managers, designers, engineers, and leadership, ensuring insights are translated into user-centered product decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research priorities with product roadmaps, ensuring a consistent user experience across markets.
- Advocate for the value of user research across the organization, helping stakeholders understand the role of user research in creating successful AI-enabled products.
- Staying up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in user experience research.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance on emerging UX trends and innovations.
- Keep up to date with the latest UX practices, innovations and tools.
- Actively explore AI trends regarding both software products and research processes.
- Share experiences and learning with others on the team.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant research experience
- At least 3 years people management experience
- Significant experience working with senior clients, stakeholders, and developers
- Experience in affecting large culture change that drives business performance
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in a Lean/Agile development environment
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Some experience in the Tax & Accounting industry a plus
