About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, code, test, debug, and implement new CommerceTools enterprise commerce platform software
  • Modify and enhance existing software applications
  • Conduct complex business process analysis and needs assessments
  • Participate in design sessions with architects and engineers to align digital solutions with business initiatives
  • Work in an Agile environment with Back-End Developers, Front-End Developers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts
  • Lead design and coding sessions and implement solutions as part of a team
  • Analyze system requirements, existing business processes, and information systems
  • Articulate designs and resolve technical/design conflicts
  • Coordinate with business analysts and users to determine requirements
  • Review systems under development and related documentation
  • Contribute to advanced systems planning, scheduling, and implementation
  • Mentor and foster growth of peers and team members
  • Lead eCommerce implementations using CommerceTools, providing oversight and hands-on software design, development, and integration
  • Design and develop headless eCommerce solutions and work with technical teams to implement APIs
  • Develop process flows and data flows for new eCommerce implementations
  • Coordinate with integration and React teams on dependencies, APIs, and structures
  • Independently lead project estimation efforts
  • Participate in conceptual and logical architecture development
  • Resolve integration and interfacing issues between back-end systems
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Assist Project Leadership with project risk identification and mitigation planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of previous experience required (in addition to education requirement)
  • Five (5) years of experience in eCommerce Applications design and development (preferred)
  • Three (3) years of experience in architecting ecommerce applications with CommerceTools enterprise commerce platform (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge or skills in project management/change management regarding acquisition/development life cycles, systems development and implementation, QA testing, business modeling, system design and analysis, enterprise coding standards, complex coding, code reviews, and software methodologies
  • Ability to learn new and emerging technologies
  • Ability to lead a group to consensus, solve problems, and accomplish tasks
  • Ability to mentor and train less knowledgeable peers and individuals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • General business knowledge and concepts
  • REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one, may be required for business air travel or federal property access
