About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise aspects of the accounting department
  • Coordinate the implementation of accounting controls
  • Supervise monthly close activities
  • Prepare or oversee preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports
  • Organize and schedule resources required to accomplish activities
  • Analyze and reconcile financial information, general ledger accounts, and other reports
  • Prepare and analyze forecasts and projections
  • Provide financial support to district managers and maintenance managers
  • Train employees, conduct evaluations, and manage productivity
  • Approve AP invoices and P-card transactions
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience
  • 5 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one if required for air travel or access to federal property
