About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and activate HR solutions that support business objectives
- Diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans
- Plan, manage, and coordinate HR functions and resources
- Manage talent through succession planning, learning and development, and employee development programs
- Execute strategies to improve organizational health and culture
- Lead and participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Coach and advise managers across multiple functions and departments
- Deliver measurable HR solutions tied to operating-unit and functional business objectives
- Participate as a key member of leadership teams and provide people solutions
- Propose HR solutions and organizational changes based on operational analysis
- Partner with Centers of Expertise to execute HR strategies and programs
- Lead or participate in HR projects
- Hire, lead, develop, and coach HR organization members
- Develop high-impact written and oral presentations and provide regular reports
- Advise management on employment-related legal issues and local compliance
- Execute organizational change initiatives
- Identify and apply new ideas to changing work demands
- Partner with the HR Director on process improvement and new initiatives
- Provide technical advice, coaching, and guidance within human resources
- Partner with local teams on recruitment outreach
- Oversee new employee orientation
- Oversee employee separation notices, documentation, and exit interviews
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
- Oversee training on company policies and programs
- Counsel managers on employee and labor relations matters
- Participate in budgeting and analyze performance and budget data
- Lead HR Advisors and support HR department activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related field, or in lieu of degree, a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of experience
- 5 years of experience managing human resource systems, processes, programs, initiatives, and professionals, in addition to the education requirement
- Understanding and experience across core human resources areas, including staffing, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and training
- Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items
- Consultative style and ability to develop credible relationships with business partners
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to use data analytics for HR insights
- Ability to assess and develop individuals' knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to action through professional influence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present viewpoints in varied business situations
- Ability to understand business operations strategically and tactically
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects independently with minimal supervision
- Strong employee relations skills
- Preferred: SPHR certification
- Preferred: experience supporting Corporate functions, ideally Finance and Accounting
- Preferred: talent management and succession planning experience
- Preferred: strong labor relations skills
- Preferred: experience in multiple HR disciplines
- Strongly preferred: HRBP experience supporting a Finance and Accounting client group
- Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel or federal-property access
