About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor operational efficiencies and help ensure performance and cost goals are achieved using cost-tracking tools and invoice reviews
- Identify and execute cost-reduction measures while fulfilling contractual obligations
- Provide strategic consultative support to hospital staff managing contracted waste streams safely and compliantly
- Serve as the primary liaison for all contracted waste streams
- Provide regulatory expertise concerning EPA, DOT, DEA, and state or local requirements
- Conduct customer surveys to identify compliance gaps and waste-segregation opportunities using the Virtual Compliance Partner application
- Project-manage implementation of new compliance-based services, including schedules, coordination, and communications
- Develop and deliver customized training for contract implementation and maintenance
- Schedule and complete customer-facing activities focused on service satisfaction, relationship building, operational efficiency, and profitability
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry or equivalent related work experience
- Excellent working knowledge of medical waste issues and the healthcare industry
- Consultative skills for effectively dealing with customers
- Confidence with public speaking duties
- Ability to travel to local customer sites
- Bachelor's Degree with experience in a healthcare discipline preferred
- Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA-RCRA, U.S. DOT, and/or The Joint Commission Standards preferred
- Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business air travel or federal-property access
