Accountant I, Centralized Billing
WMAccountant I supporting billing functions, managing data collection, and preparing financial reports in the United States. Collaborating with project managers and ensuring accurate billing and financial data.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages the collection of data, preparation, and submittal of Billing activities for site(s) working closely with project manager(s) to ensure completeness.
- Prepares and maintains account records and billing data and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
- Coordinate with the field to maintain efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs. Ensuring that all items are billed in accordance with customer contracts and pricing.
- Track and maintain site costs, prepare estimates, if necessary, work with site to resolve vendor and customer concerns.
- Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals.
- Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements and reports.
- Performs additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statement. Coordinates preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
- Participates in regular meetings for discussion and review of required reports and deliverables.
- Assists with the preparation of annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans assigned areas.
- Assists with the maintenance and application of internal controls.
- Prepares basic financial reports in a timely and accurate manner; and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant experience
- General accounting, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable knowledge may be required.
