About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leads fleet optimization for heavy equipment in disposal operations including but not limited to transfer stations, landfills, and recycling.
  • Monitors work processes, procedures, and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
  • Plans, directs, and manages the implementation of procurement within specified time, cost, resource, and quality constraints.
  • Analyzes implementation project resources, assigns and schedules work to meet priorities and goals; manages issues and conflicts, change requests, risks, and project acceptance.
  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.
  • Prepares and reviews project management and implementation reports.
  • Designs Standard Operating Procedures for data collection, routing, and dispatching processes.
  • Develops implementation and post-implementation performance standards, evaluating productivity and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborates with users, management, vendors, technicians, and engineers, and to determine business needs and system requirements.
  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited)
  • High School Diploma (accredited) and 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years Fleet Management, Fleet related financial literacy and team management including procurement.
  • 8 years of relevant work experience (preferred).
