About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generates revenue growth by utilizing a consultative selling approach in the retention of current WM customers.
  • Manages existing business relationships to achieve budgeted sales goals by developing and implementing sound retention strategies.
  • Handles all customer cancellation requests and provides ongoing education of contract details to existing customers.
  • Develops detailed proposals encompassing multiple services.
  • Increases revenue and profitability by executing sound plans on retention calls to improve the customers’ service and/or profitability.
  • Proposes customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Sales/Marketing, or in lieu of bachelor’s degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years in direct business-to-business sales
  • 7 years progressive direct business-to-business sales, business-to-business cold calling, and phone based business-to-business prospecting resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments (in addition to education requirement).
  • Resource Conservation and recovery Act (RCRA) (20 hours).
  • WM CRA
  • Involved in one or more of the following: U.S. Green Build Council (USGBC), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Associated general Contractors of America (AGC), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), or National Association of Home Builders
