About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support sustainability evaluations and solutions with a focus on impact reduction strategies and materials management including waste reduction and diversion, procurement and life cycle assessments.
  • Support sustainability assessments and implementation programs. Support final reports, including environmental, social, and economic analysis.
  • Research and implement waste reduction and diversion strategies.
  • Support project managers with on-site program implementation at stadiums and events.
  • Manage data collection, organization, and input processes for environmental impact data from sports venues using a digital impact management tool.
  • Facilitate feedback between customers and team’s data strategy lead to ensure that digital tools align with customer and industry needs.
  • Integrate social sustainability priorities into emissions management strategies.
  • Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Self-educate on current sustainability topics, issues, and trends.
  • Responsible for organizing and interpreting data.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability, Business or related field
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in project/business management (in addition to education requirement)
  • Experience with waste management, material minimization and diversion programs, or sustainable material management planning strongly preferred.
  • Experience analyzing data and compiling waste diversion reports
  • Experience working in sports venues and event operations or a comparable facility
