Onboarding Optimization Manager
WMOnboarding Optimization Manager responsible for Centralized Hiring and Retention at WM. Improving operational success within frontline operations through talent management strategies.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with OOM’s through coaching and development
- Enhance retention through structured engagement beyond initial onboarding
- Reduce time-to-hire and associated operational costs
- Improve safety outcomes and service reliability
- Build stronger talent pipelines and leadership development capabilities
- Partner with multiple business units to lead workforce planning and set staffing goals for sites
- Oversee candidate offer process in partnership with Talent Acquisition partners
- Responsible for assurance of OJT completion, and assignment of a Dedicated Driver Trainer/Mentor
- Investigate reasons why employees are leaving the company and provide feedback
- Assist District manager in the creation and execution of retention strategy for frontline employees
- Create and submit weekly and month-end reports to senior management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree - High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
- 3 years previous operations management experience (in addition to education requirements) in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations and three years’ experience interviewing and hiring CDL Drivers and other frontline positions
