About the role

  • Manage the Sales and Marketing responsibilities of WM MRFs (Material Recovery Facilities) as well all third-party accounts included in ones designated geography.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage prospects by developing sound marketing plans and maintaining key information in the prospect database.
  • Meet or exceed sales call activity goals for proactive account retention.
  • Monitor and responsible at all times for - volumes, pricing, margins, visitation schedule, and new business leads with the goal of growing volume and margin.
  • Maintain sales pipeline to achieve goals for new sales.
  • Match Waste Management services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition.
  • Effectively use Waste Management sales productivity software tools to integrate and cross sell opportunities.
  • Update and secure customer service agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategic objectives of assigned geography in conjunction with organizational goals.
  • Prepare complex proposals and make recommendations on equipment optimization and leasing options.
  • Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Business or related field, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in progressive and successful business-to-business sales (in addition to education requirement).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Exhibit basic personal computer skills
  • Exhibit proficient use of computer software applications
