About the role

  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations at closed landfill sites
  • Manage 4-6 contractors across various projects
  • Overseeing execution, reviewing invoices, and interpreting data to maintain compliance
  • Prepare or update and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property of the landfill through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with supervisors/employees

Requirements

  • Education: College Degree in STEM related field but not required. High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Hold OSHA 19.10.120 Hazwoper and general first aid training certifications or be able to obtain them within six months of employment.
  • Monitoring or testing equipment operation; health, safety, and environmental regulations knowledge; supervisory experience; computer-based word processing, data management and information presentation skills.
  • Possess written and verbal communication skills, computer skills (e.g. MS Office and Power BI familiarity) and ability to learn other job related technical software. Including, but not limited to “App” based technologies to facilitate digital inspections, reporting and data/analytics.
  • Some knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA and/or automation and control systems is beneficial.
