About the role
- Responsible for accelerating the rate of change across the enterprise by leading and/or working on cross functional teams to drive economic and operational efficiency through innovation, agility, scalability and reliability to existing processes or new business ideas.
- Manages small and medium projects over long periods of time and across multiple disciplines.
- Develops new ideas and processes and, working with a director, manages processes/timelines to drive improved business operation; reports against economic and process improvement
- Implements and maintains effective operations improvement processes, consistent with the accomplishment of long-range objectives which will enhance effectiveness, while working closely with directors and other Area personnel
- Leads and facilitates organizational change initiatives, focusing on the human element to ensure smooth transitions and minimize resistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Finance, Project Management, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant experience in the transportation, logistics or waste industry.
- Four years of prior work experience with a proven track record of continual business process improvement and innovation simultaneously meeting financial, operations and customer demands (in addition to education requirement).
- Project management certification preferred.
- Experience in envisioning a future state, defining the current state and drive process improvement to close the gap between the status quo and needed change.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
