About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide tactical, responsive HR support to individual contributors in assigned business units and/or functions
  • Serve as the first point of contact and trusted advisor for employee relations issues and HR policies and processes
  • Coach and counsel employees on issues, applying policies, procedures, and employment laws consistently and transparently
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve complex employee relations issues while balancing employee advocacy with company policies and employment laws
  • Support and deliver Performance Management, New Hire Orientation, and Exit Interviews
  • Conduct training on company policies, programs, and other issues
  • Partner with local teams on recruitment outreach efforts
  • Participate in HR-related project teams
  • Mentor HR department employees by providing technical advice and guidance
  • Assist the HR Manager with developing and maintaining processes, policies, and new initiatives
  • Apprise and escalate potential legal, risk, and safety concerns to the HR Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study, or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in an HR Advisor or Generalist capacity, in addition to education requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and applications, with the ability to leverage AI to support and scale talent development and learning initiatives
  • Preferred: 4 years of Human Resource generalist experience including leading talent development
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or CHRP preferred
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required to travel by air or access federal property
