About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Corporate Business Development due diligence process from the Letter of Intent (LOI) stage through close
  • Manage complex acquisitions, typically $10M+
  • Guide Area due diligence teams on smaller transactions
  • Collaborate with Business Development VPs, Senior Strategic Analysts, Directors, and Area Business Development Representatives from pipeline identification through close
  • Facilitate and own the process between Sellers and internal stakeholders across leadership, Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, Digital, Operations, Safety, Fleet, Real Estate, and EHS
  • Serve as primary contact for due diligence and pre-closing transition matters on large or complex acquisitions
  • Own deal timelines, decision processes, meeting cadence, and escalation paths
  • Define diligence scope, timelines, and information requirements
  • Coordinate due diligence activities across the deal team and Seller
  • Organize, review, and manage access to the Virtual Deal Room
  • Resolve cross-functional issues and dependencies throughout diligence and integration planning
  • Synthesize diligence findings into an investment assessment before signing the APA
  • Consolidate risks, opportunities, assumptions, and conclusions into a strategic-fit business case
  • Drive deals toward decision-ready recommendations and present key findings to leadership
  • Streamline deal execution while maintaining Business Development focus on seller engagement
  • Lead transition of completed acquisitions to the Integration Team, including knowledge transfer, issue resolution, and post-close support through the first 90 days
  • Develop, disseminate, and maintain Business Development standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in finance, accounting, business administrations, or related field
  • At least 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to coordinate complex acquisition due diligence and transaction activities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
