About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute moderately complex financial and accounting tasks accurately and on time
  • Complete assigned analytical and process improvement projects with general direction from the GBS Finance Manager
  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries
  • Support recurring accounting activities involving payroll, incentive compensation, accruals, intercompany activity, depreciation, amortization, reclasses, and correcting entries
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
  • Investigate reconciling items, document conclusions, and escalate issues requiring resolution
  • Analyze monthly financial results, identify trends and variances, and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules, reports, and management packages
  • Participate in monthly financial review meetings and support Budget versus Actual reviews
  • Evaluate and document accounting impacts of process changes, centralization activities, and assigned transactions
  • Provide guidance on internal and external financial accounting procedures
  • Support knowledge transfer and post-transition stabilization with WM India Finance and shared services teams
  • Maintain and apply internal controls and support audit, SOX, tax, and external reporting requests
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, standardize processes, and improve visibility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited)
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years or relevant work experience
  • 3 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • Experience in corporate accounting, shared services, finance transformation, process improvement, or business analysis (preferred)
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP, BlackLine, Power BI, or similar finance systems and reporting tools (preferred)
  • Experience preparing SOPs, process maps, training materials, or transition documentation (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate across domestic and international teams (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
