About the role
- Identify, pitch, and secure new retail and distributor partnerships.
- Manage relationships with key retailers, distributors, brokers, and buyers.
- Support channel strategies that drive distribution, velocity, and brand visibility.
- Lead sell-in and sell-through with compelling, data-backed presentations.
- Manage customer calls, negotiations, and promotional planning.
- Ensure pricing, promotions, and programs align across channels.
- Own sales forecasting and deliver monthly updates.
- Track retailer performance, consumption trends, and competitive activity.
- Manage trade spend, AMPS, and MAPS programs to ensure channel consistency.
- Grow distribution and partnerships in Canada.
- Support the roadmap for entering and expanding U.S. retail.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, Demand Planning, and Ecommerce to ensure seamless execution and strong trade alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of sales experience within CPG, including account management, distributor management, or broker oversight.
- Strong track record of selling into retail and expanding distribution.
- Strong analytical abilities with experience interpreting syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Spins).
- Experience in forecasting, promotional planning, and managing trade spend.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, make strong judgment calls, and present confidently to buyers and internal partners.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Ecommerce.
