About the role
- Design high-quality user experiences for conversations, browsing, product discovery, and purchase flows.
- Own the end-to-end product design across desktop and mobile web, with future native mobile considerations.
- Define and evolve interaction patterns for agent behaviors, multimodal flows, and responsive UI.
- Drive the visual and interaction language of the product, including motion and animation principles.
- Lead discovery work: shaping user journeys, flows, and high-level information architecture.
- Produce high-fidelity visual designs, interaction specs, and prototypes.
- Build prototypes ranging from low-fidelity explorations to polished interaction models.
- Partner closely with product and engineering to scope features, validate solutions, and iterate quickly.
- Collaborate with Product Experience on user testing, feedback sessions, and internal demos to refine UX.
- Perform competitive research and stay current on best practices in AI-powered and agentic interfaces.
- Set design quality standards as Wizard grows and potentially mentor future designers.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in product design for consumer-facing or AI-enabled products.
- A senior or staff-level product designer with strong depth in responsive web and mobile experiences.
- Outstanding visual design and interaction design skills, with strong attention to craft and detail.
- Proven experience working with complex systems, task flows, or multimodal interfaces.
- Comfortable switching between systems-level strategy and hands-on execution.
- Strong design communication skills, able to articulate thinking through visuals, prototypes, and narrative.
- Experienced in collaborating closely with engineering in fast iteration cycles.
- Deep understanding of accessibility, usability, and interaction best practices across platforms.
- A portfolio or recent work examples that demonstrate systems thinking, exploration, and polished, production-ready work.
- Comfortable presenting design work to founders, executives, and senior stakeholders.
- Thrives in ambiguous, 0→1 environments and wants real ownership, not just contribution.
