About the role

  • Design high-quality user experiences for conversations, browsing, product discovery, and purchase flows.
  • Own the end-to-end product design across desktop and mobile web, with future native mobile considerations.
  • Define and evolve interaction patterns for agent behaviors, multimodal flows, and responsive UI.
  • Drive the visual and interaction language of the product, including motion and animation principles.
  • Lead discovery work: shaping user journeys, flows, and high-level information architecture.
  • Produce high-fidelity visual designs, interaction specs, and prototypes.
  • Build prototypes ranging from low-fidelity explorations to polished interaction models.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to scope features, validate solutions, and iterate quickly.
  • Collaborate with Product Experience on user testing, feedback sessions, and internal demos to refine UX.
  • Perform competitive research and stay current on best practices in AI-powered and agentic interfaces.
  • Set design quality standards as Wizard grows and potentially mentor future designers.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in product design for consumer-facing or AI-enabled products.
  • A senior or staff-level product designer with strong depth in responsive web and mobile experiences.
  • Outstanding visual design and interaction design skills, with strong attention to craft and detail.
  • Proven experience working with complex systems, task flows, or multimodal interfaces.
  • Comfortable switching between systems-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Strong design communication skills, able to articulate thinking through visuals, prototypes, and narrative.
  • Experienced in collaborating closely with engineering in fast iteration cycles.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility, usability, and interaction best practices across platforms.
  • A portfolio or recent work examples that demonstrate systems thinking, exploration, and polished, production-ready work.
  • Comfortable presenting design work to founders, executives, and senior stakeholders.
  • Thrives in ambiguous, 0→1 environments and wants real ownership, not just contribution.

  • Equity in the form of stock options
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO and company holidays
  • Fully remote work within the United States
  • Periodic company-wide offsites and team gatherings
