About the role
- Serve as legal business partner to Wiz’s revenue teams, summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal agreements and advise on contract interpretation to accelerate contract velocity
- Understand customer and internal client contexts to solve problems from their perspective
- Triage a heavy workflow, set priorities with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently
- Support continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes and work within CPQ and CLM platforms
- Manage agreements to comply with company policies and risk tolerance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and report to the Legal Director, GTM Public Sector
Requirements
- 8+ years of in-house experience, technology company experience preferred, emphasis on public-sector contracting and compliance
- Knowledge of data privacy and experience handling data privacy related questions when negotiating SaaS Subscription Agreements (required)
- Familiarity with major government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) and procurement vehicles
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Strong “business-friendly” style and ability to support business growth
- Ability to structure, draft and negotiate high volume and broad range of contracts (SaaS, professional services, partner agreements, NDAs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems
- Must meet EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person and reside in the contiguous United States
