- Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will be responsible for financial controlling of a strategic and operational scope, acting as a key Business Partner to Operations and Support functions. Your role will focus on cost control (OPEX) and inventory optimization, ensuring financial data reliability and performance management.
- Missions and Responsibilities
- Cost and Inventory Control & Supply Chain Liaison
- Strategic Inventory Management: Ensure the valuation and reliability of inventory, including defining depreciation rules (returned products, end-of-life) and analyzing finished-goods cost variations in collaboration with Purchasing.
- Operational Oversight: Provide the financial link between Production and Sales by controlling inventories and analyzing stock levels.
- Business Partner Role & OPEX Management (R&D, IT, G&A, Customer Service)
- Strategic Partnership & Challenge: Act as the primary financial partner to operational leaders (R&D, IT, etc.), analyzing expenditures (vs budget/forecast) and acting as an early warning to challenge and optimize operational costs and investments.
- Budgeting Process: Actively contribute, together with the teams, to the preparation and monitoring of Budget and Forecast cycles for your OPEX perimeter.
- Close/Budget/Forecast & Information Systems
- Month-end Closures: Calculate and record accounting provisions that affect your scope. Analyze profitability vs budget (non-allowed costs, OPEX, etc.).
- Tools: Ensure the accuracy of financial data in the company’s key systems: SAP, Power BI, Anaplan.
- Ad hoc
- Prepare ad hoc analyses for product launches/events, studies, etc.
- Manage the full P&L for our Impeto subsidiary.
Requirements
- We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications and mindset:
- Advanced degree (Master’s level/Bac+5) with a specialization in Management Control, Audit and/or Finance.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ proven experience in a similar role (internships included), with hands-on knowledge of month-end close and budgeting processes.
- Recognized for rigor, strong organizational skills and excellent analytical and synthesis abilities.
- Strong command of information systems including:
- Advanced proficiency in office tools (Advanced Excel).
- Experience with an ERP (ideally SAP) is desirable.
- Familiarity with a Business Intelligence tool (Power BI) and/or a budgeting/planning tool (Anaplan) is a strong advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential to interact with our international teams (Boston, Hong Kong, Shenzhen).
