About the role

  • Supports month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries
  • Assists with financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, and audit preparation
  • Provides support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
  • Administers the company credit card program
  • Contributes to project financial analysis, reporting, and other ad hoc accounting
  • Performs monthly account reconciliations and investigates variances
  • Assists with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
  • Maintains general ledger accuracy and ensures proper documentation
  • Administers company credit card program, including issuance, maintenance, limit changes, and card cancellations
  • Supports bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity and assists with audit preparation by providing schedule and supporting documentation.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested
  • Supports other accounting functions and special projects as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Experience using Accounting Software and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Solid accounting foundation with working knowledge of GAAP accounting, including debits, credits, and account classifications
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proven ability to provide direction and guidance to others
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning ability
  • Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a “will to win” attitude
  • Self-starter, driven to succeed and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Experience with Unanet accounting software
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience with project performance analysis
  • Experience with automation and process improvement.
