About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive new business development within the energy sector and adjacent industries
- Identify and close opportunities for software development, IoT, integration, and digital services engagements
- Build and manage a robust pipeline from initial conversations through to signed agreements
- Actively prospect and open new accounts (hunter role)
- Position Wirtek as a long-term services partner rather than a one-off project vendor
- Engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering teams to shape compelling, feasible solutions
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and service positioning
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting using HubSpot
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales of IT services
- Proven track record in hunting, opening accounts, and closing deals
- Experience in the energy, industrial, IoT, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of software development services, IoT/automation/integration, and data-driven solutions
- Ability to sell services-based engagements rather than just products
- Excellent communication skills with both C-level and technical stakeholders
- Existing network in the energy sector is a strong advantage
- Experience with structured sales processes and CRM tools (HubSpot)
