About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing the mortgage loan process from application to closing.
- Gathering and verifying financial information.
- Reviewing loan applications for compliance.
- Liaising between the borrower and underwriter.
- Working with mortgage aggregators for smooth loan approval process.
- Collecting and reviewing loan applications and supporting documents.
- Conducting credit checks and cross-checking with disclosed liabilities.
- Ensuring all loan applications comply with Australian lending regulations.
- Acting as a liaison between borrowers, underwriters, mortgage aggregators, and stakeholders.
- Ordering valuations and managing post-approval to settlement process.
- Preparing and submitting loan files to mortgage lenders and banks for approval.
- Tracking and following up on loan applications for timely processing and approval.
- Providing exceptional customer service to borrowers, answering questions and guiding them through the loan process.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have 2 years of experience in Australian mortgage loan processing
- Strong understanding of Australian mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting processes and loan types.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing and processing loan applications.
- Problem-solving: Ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Client-oriented: Strong focus on providing excellent client service.
- Time management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ethical standards: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all dealings.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems like Quickli, Apply Online, Mercury and Property Hub to track and manage client interactions.
- Familiarity with mortgage aggregator platforms such as AFG, Connective, SFG or PLAN Australia.
