About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline engineering projects
  • Independently coordinate engineers’ work and plan team assignments throughout project development
  • Establish client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings
  • Coordinate workload throughout project development and ensure documents are completed on schedule
  • Track project financial aspects and adjust team work effort to keep projects on schedule
  • Work with the Midwest Civil Practice Lead and/or Client Account Lead for project reviews
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri or ability to obtain within 4 months
  • Minimum of twenty years’ experience in the design of streets and highways
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations for street and highway design
  • Experience managing multiple team members and coordinating with engineers and technicians
  • Ability to multitask and maintain close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior staff, and clients
  • Specific experience winning and executing state DOT projects related to highways, streets, or sidewalks/trails preferred
