About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline engineering projects
  • Independently coordinate engineers' work and plan team assignments throughout project development
  • Establish client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings
  • Coordinate workload throughout project development and ensure documents are completed on schedule
  • Track project financial aspects and adjust team work effort to meet schedules
  • Work with the Midwest Civil Practice Lead and/or Client Account Lead on project reviews as needed
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians
  • Self-starter able to multitask and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively to peers, senior staff, and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri or ability to obtain within 4 months
  • Minimum of twenty years’ experience in the design of streets and highways
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to street and/or highway design projects
  • Specific experience winning and executing state DOT projects related to highways, streets, or sidewalks/trails preferred
  • Applicants must not require work visa sponsorship
