About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline engineering projects
- Independently coordinate engineers' work and plan team assignments throughout project development
- Establish client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings
- Coordinate workload throughout project development and ensure documents are completed on schedule
- Track project financial aspects and adjust team work effort to meet schedules
- Work with the Midwest Civil Practice Lead and/or Client Account Lead on project reviews as needed
- Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians
- Self-starter able to multitask and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively to peers, senior staff, and clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri or ability to obtain within 4 months
- Minimum of twenty years’ experience in the design of streets and highways
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to street and/or highway design projects
- Specific experience winning and executing state DOT projects related to highways, streets, or sidewalks/trails preferred
