About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform roadway design and modeling using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Coordinate roadway design with Project Managers, Peer Engineers, CADD Team Members, and other project disciplines
  • Meet project deadlines for projects throughout Missouri and other regions as needed
  • Assist in developing roadway design plans and contract documents
  • Work independently while interacting with Wilson & Company team members
  • Gain experience in business development and marketing, including attending local industry conferences and seminars
  • Manage and develop business client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain
  • 0–3 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways
  • Experience with federal, state, and local regulations for street and highway projects
  • Experience with MicroStation Roadway Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong work ethic and understanding of engineering principles
  • Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including Word and Excel
  • Good intrapersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior staff, and clients
