About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to local practice leads and project managers within the civil team
  • Support practice performance by monitoring utilization, financial performance, and operational KPIs
  • Monitor pursuit pipeline, project backlog, and staffing needs to support continued growth
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including strong Client Account Leadership, pursuits, and sales strategy
  • Ensure ongoing mentoring, training, and development of staff at all levels
  • Support intentional staffing, recruiting, and retention initiatives across the region
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, offices, and practice areas to deliver high-quality projects
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on proposals and practice development efforts
  • Maintain and monitor operational data within Vantagepoint
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to expand regional presence
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry events
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control policy
  • Travel as needed to support projects, teams, and client engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of transportation or civil engineering experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • Ability to obtain additional professional licenses as needed
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Established industry relationships supporting business development efforts
