About the role

  • Contribute to department goals by supporting project delivery, fees, and profit objectives
  • Organize and conduct engineering investigations under the guidance of senior staff
  • Assist with project planning, scope development, and workflow management
  • Draft straightforward reports and support preparation of complex technical documents
  • Provide engineering services during construction, including recordkeeping, progress reporting, and observation of construction procedures
  • Research feasibility of design alternatives, site conditions, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare preliminary estimates of man-hours, costs, and materials
  • Coordinate with other disciplines as needed
  • Perform field observations, quality assurance, and quality control inspections

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical concentration preferred)
  • Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering a plus
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) registration preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience required
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) projects preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
