About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
  • Integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage technologies
  • Implement arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and facility upgrades
  • Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Ensure alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions
  • Support procurement of electrical equipment and materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Lead small teams, collaborate across disciplines, and present to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Four (4) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry
  • Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
  • Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills
  • Safety as a main priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
  • Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation using ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
  • Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
  • Experience supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Preferred: Experience with PLCs
  • Preferred: Project Management experience
  • Preferred: Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC of small to medium facility projects
  • Preferred: Experience designing and implementing instrumentation systems, including PLC and HMI systems
  • Preferred: Experience participating in commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment
