About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Safely maintain LNG facility equipment and support operations
  • Test, calibrate, and validate process safety devices and equipment
  • Analyze data and collaborate to resolve technical or operational problems
  • Follow company policies and operating and maintenance procedures
  • Install and maintain electrical equipment associated with power distribution systems
  • Apply technical skills and leadership across switchgear, instrumentation, measurement, motor controls, control loops, distributed control systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC systems, and DC systems
  • Operate facilities safely and efficiently while protecting personnel, the community, environment, and assets
  • Maintain knowledge of site, location, equipment, permits, and compliance requirements
  • Troubleshoot, operate, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, including low- and high-voltage equipment and UPS systems
  • Remove, repair, and reinstall sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure, and level measurement
  • Work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Work overtime and 10–12-hour shifts as required
  • Travel between Williams locations, with occasional overnight stays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • LNG Operations Technician Sr.: high school diploma or GED and minimum four years of related natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
  • LNG Operations Technician III: high school diploma or GED and minimum two years of related natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
  • LNG Operations Technician II: high school diploma or GED and minimum two years of related natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
  • LNG Operations Technician I: high school diploma or GED
  • Associate or two-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificates preferred for senior and level III roles
  • Associate or two-year technical degree preferred for level II and level I roles
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Aptitude for technology and applications supporting operational efficiency
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Safety-focused approach
  • Microsoft Office and PC proficiency
  • Proficient or advanced knowledge of process control systems and programmable logic controllers
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud noise, and enclosed spaces
  • Ability to carry or lift at least 50 pounds and team-lift heavier loads
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods
  • Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers with appropriate PPE
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Availability for after-hours, on-call, night, weekend, and holiday work
  • Ability to work overtime and 10–12-hour shifts
  • Ability to travel between Williams locations, including occasional overnight stays
