About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and provide guidance on environmental processes and policies
  • Assess environmental risk and recommend, participate in, or run approved courses of action, including regulatory documentation
  • Participate in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, environmental impact assessments, and reporting
  • Provide guidance and mentor others
  • Prepare and submit applications for environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations
  • Coordinate with company partners
  • Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations as needed
  • Identify environmental training needs and provide training
  • Develop, recommend, and implement improvements for air, water, waste management, and/or remediation systems and practices
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports and certifications
  • Develop and maintain environmental compliance documentation
  • Cultivate relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience
  • Functional and technical expertise in air, water, and/or waste
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
