About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform project controls responsibilities with minimal guidance.
Analyze project costs, forecast project performance, and prepare project reports.
Develop, maintain, and report project schedules, including progress updates.
Collaborate with project teams throughout the project life cycle, typically on Small Expansion and/or Maintenance Capital Projects.
Revise forecasts and evaluate the impact of delays.
Communicate schedule status and key risk areas to team members.
Develop understanding of Williams risk management policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts in applicable business systems by required deadlines.
Develop understanding of earned value management principles and contracting/bidding processes.
Prepare, analyze, and communicate project reports and variance analyses.
Provide recommendations to mitigate cost and schedule variances.
Perform ad hoc analyses, reporting, and other assigned duties.
Train project teams in reporting systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Science/Management, Business or equivalent level of education and experience
3–5 years of Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Construction, or related experience
Working knowledge of the project life cycle and its application across project phases
Working knowledge of remaining project controls disciplines if specialized in cost, schedule, or risk
Ability to work independently within project-related software systems
Ability to solve standard project controls problems using established practices
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Aptitude for using technology and applications to improve efficiency and streamline processes
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Safety-focused mindset
