About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform project controls responsibilities with minimal guidance.
- Analyze project costs, forecast project performance, and prepare project reports.
- Develop, maintain, and report project schedules, including progress updates.
- Collaborate with project teams throughout the project life cycle, typically on Small Expansion and/or Maintenance Capital Projects.
- Revise forecasts and evaluate the impact of delays.
- Communicate schedule status and key risk areas to team members.
- Develop understanding of Williams risk management policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts in applicable business systems by required deadlines.
- Develop understanding of earned value management principles and contracting/bidding processes.
- Prepare, analyze, and communicate project reports and variance analyses.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate cost and schedule variances.
- Perform ad hoc analyses, reporting, and other assigned duties.
- Train project teams in reporting systems.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Science/Management, Business or equivalent level of education and experience
- 3–5 years of Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Construction, or related experience
- Working knowledge of the project life cycle and its application across project phases
- Working knowledge of remaining project controls disciplines if specialized in cost, schedule, or risk
- Ability to work independently within project-related software systems
- Ability to solve standard project controls problems using established practices
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Aptitude for using technology and applications to improve efficiency and streamline processes
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
