About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent senior living facilities, physician and dental practices, rehabilitation and surgery centers, complex management services organizations, healthcare technology companies, and other licensed healthcare providers in achieving their business and legal objectives while delivering exceptional client service.
- Collaborate with attorneys across the Firm's corporate, real estate, labor & employment, trusts & estates, and litigation practices to provide comprehensive counsel to healthcare clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Member of The Florida Bar in good standing or eligible for admission.
- Willingness to sit for the Florida Bar Examination in the near future if not already licensed in Florida.
- Florida Bar Board Certification in Health Law is preferred, but not required.
- Five or more years of private practice experience with a substantial focus on healthcare law.
- Experience advising healthcare providers and healthcare-related businesses on regulatory, compliance, operational, and transactional matters.
- Experience working with healthcare organizations such as physician groups, dental practices, senior living providers, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation providers, management services organizations, healthcare technology companies, or other licensed healthcare entities.
- Experience navigating state and federal healthcare regulatory frameworks, licensure requirements, and operational compliance issues.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical, client-focused advice in a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated business development capability and a portable book of business, or a succession-based client transition opportunity, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while exercising sound professional judgment and providing exceptional client service.
- Exceptional client relationship skills and an unwavering commitment to thoughtful, responsive, and practical counsel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, healthcare executives, consultants, accountants, and professional staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously.
