About the role
- Proactively solicit feedback early in a project's timeline and keep the team informed of project status
- Synthesize external feedback from the community to identify problems, suggest solutions, and act as the primary liaison between developers and internal teams
- Scope and build high-quality samples, docs, and developer program content with minimal guidance
- Produce code and documentation that is accessibly written for a well-defined audience
- Create and deliver engaging presentations and demos, and build new applications to showcase platform capabilities
- Advocate externally, representing the platform at conferences, meetups, and other industry events to drive adoption
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the developer perspective is considered in product development and assist in prioritizing developer feedback
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and live-coding webinars to educate developers on best practices, new features, and updates
- Establish and maintain a robust feedback loop with customer and partner developers and assist developers with issues
- Translate customer needs into actionable, meaningful units of work for internal teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in partner/sales engineering, software engineering, product management, or related roles
- Strong engineering skill; experience with building full-stack applications in JS/TS
- Experience creating technical content (written or video)
- Comfortable representing a product publicly (on camera, on stage, or online)
- BS / BA, MS / MA degree or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Experience working with open source projects (bonus)
- Energized by community (Discord, Twitter, YouTube, or in person); self-directed and organized
